
A fixer can be a nightmare. I have known couples who have invested in a fixer that wound up costing more than the house is worth, and nearly wrecked their marriage in the process. Fixers are not for the faint of heart, and some fixers are irrevocably broken. With that caveat, a fixer offers a great opportunity for profit or for a wonderful affordable home. And you don’t have to pay for someones “Home Depot rehab”.
